Privacy Policy

Last updated: 16 October 2026

This policy explains what information this website (p4ul.dev) collects, why, and what you can do about it. The site is run by Paul Fraser, a freelance developer based in Fife, Scotland, who is responsible for your data under UK GDPR.

Analytics cookies

With your consent, this site uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use it - for example which pages are viewed, roughly where visitors are in the world, and what device or browser they use. Google Analytics sets cookies (named _ga and _ga_*) to do this.

These cookies are only set if you click Accept on the cookie banner. If you click No thanks, Google Analytics isn’t loaded at all. You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer. Your choice itself is remembered in your browser’s local storage, not in a cookie.

Google processes analytics data on my behalf. You can read more in Google’s privacy policy.

Enquiries

If you get in touch by email or through the enquiry form (which opens your own email app), I receive your name, email address and anything you include in your message. I use this only to reply to you and, if we work together, to manage the project. I don’t add you to mailing lists or share your details with anyone else.

Server logs

Like most websites, the server that hosts this site keeps standard access logs - such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time - to keep the site secure and fix problems. These logs are kept for a limited period and aren’t used to identify you.

How long information is kept

Enquiry emails are kept for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any work that follows, and for as long as required for tax and accounting records. Google Analytics data is kept according to the retention settings in the analytics account.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information held about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to or restrict how it’s used. To do any of these, email p@p4ul.dev.

If you’re unhappy with how your information has been handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Apps

This policy covers this website only. My iPhone and Mac apps have their own App Privacy Policy.

Changes
